Discover The Art of Rolling with Us
What are rolling papers?
Rolling papers are very thin sheets of paper, often made from natural plant fibers, used to enclose tobacco or legal herbal blends for smoking. They allow you to create your own custom-sized cigarettes or rolls.
What are rolling papers made from?
Rolling papers can be made from a variety of materials, each offering a different smoking experience:
Wood Pulp: The classic material. They are easy to roll, have a medium burn rate, and are widely available.
Rice Paper: Made from processed rice, these papers are extremely thin, burn slowly, and produce very little aftertaste, allowing you to taste your blend more purely.
Hemp: An increasingly popular choice. Hemp papers are eco-friendly, easy to roll, and have a medium burn rate with a slight, earthy aftertaste.
Flax: Made from the flax plant, these papers are smooth, thin, and burn slowly and evenly.
What is the sticky gum line made of?
The adhesive strip on almost all high-quality rolling papers is made from gum arabic, which is a natural, food-grade gum harvested from the sap of the Acacia tree. It is 100% natural, vegan, and safe to use
What is the difference between white and brown rolling papers?
White Papers are often bleached to remove impurities and achieve a clean, white appearance.
Brown Papers are typically unbleached, meaning they retain the natural brown hue of the plant fibers they are made from. Many users prefer unbleached papers for a more natural experience.
What are the different sizes of rolling papers?
Single Wide: The smallest standard size, perfect for a quick, personal roll.
1 ¼ (One and a Quarter): The most popular size worldwide. It holds about 25% more material than a Single Wide.
King Size / King Slim: Significantly longer than 1 ¼ papers, ideal for a longer smoking session or for sharing.
Why won't my rolling paper stick when I lick it?
Too much moisture: If you lick the gum line too heavily, you can dissolve the gum arabic, washing it away. A light touch is all that’s needed.
Not enough moisture: The gum line wasn’t activated properly.
Licking the wrong side: Make sure you are moistening the shiny, adhesive strip.
Improper storage: If papers are left in a very humid or very dry environment, the gum line can be damaged and lose its stickiness
What is the difference between rolling papers and pre-rolled cones?
Rolling Papers are flat sheets that require you to manually roll and shape them from scratch.
Pre-Rolled Cones are empty, cone-shaped papers that are already rolled and sealed for you. You simply need to grind your material and fill the cone, making them much easier for beginners
Do rolling papers expire? How should I store them?
Rolling papers don’t have a strict expiration date, but they can degrade over time. The gum line can dry out and lose its stickiness. To keep them fresh for as long as possible, store your papers in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Are rolling papers vegan?
Most modern rolling papers that use natural gum arabic are 100% vegan. Papers made from hemp, rice, or flax are plant-based. You can confidently state that your papers are vegan if they fit this description
